Haesaerts Intermodal values all aspects of safety and quality. All of our activities are focused on a maximal use of the most ecological, qualitative and safe means of transportation. To increase road safety and reduce road accidents, Haesaerts Intermodal operates according to the principles of Behaviour Based Safety. BBS is a programme that aims to increase safety during road transport by positively influencing the behaviour of drivers through observation, coaching and communication.

In 2006, our dedication and commitment was recognized and honoured with two Safety Awards 2006, presented annually to the road haulier who has invested most effectively in (road) safety. An acknowledgement which we are very proud of.

Responsible Care

In February 2009, 19 chemical transport companies officially declared their participation in Responsible Care at the annual conference of the European Chemical Transport Association, ECTA, in Barcelona, Spain. CEO’s of all 19 ECTA member companies signed a declaration of commitment as well as a Responsible Care implementation agreement. Haesaerts Intermodal was one of the first companies to commit to Responsible Care.

ISOPA

ISOPA is the European trade association for producers of Diisocyanates and Polyols. Haesaerts is an active member of ISOPA and has received driver/operating and handling accreditation for the transport services provided within this segment of the chemical industry. Drivers are individually trained and certified for the handling of IsoCyanates in Bulk and can identify themselves with ISOPA licences.

Green Freight Europe

Haesaerts Intermodal conducts his business with care for the environment by maintaining an active green office policy and making sure all of our drivers attend an ECO-driving training. Our strive is to always opt for the most ecological solution.

ECTA

Haesaerts Intermodal is also a member of ECTA (European Chemical Transport Association). This organisation gathers European Land Transport Companies with the aim to improve the standards of efficiency, safety and quality as well as the environmental and social impact of the transport and logistics of chemical goods in Europe.
